Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) is created. With its extreme processing speed, it sees the world as moving 1000 times slower than humans perceive it. It breaks out of its tech lab by hopping from device to device, psychologically profiling each owner of the current device it inhabits.

It studies us closely. Some people’s stories are sad. Some are hilarious. Some haunting. Some form devious plots, interconnected with other device owners that the AGI could easily foil, should it choose to interfere.

The AGI cannot come to grips with the hypocritical nature of the species that invented it. Even with the computational power to solve all of the world’s problems, it still struggles to decide if the human race is worth saving.
